Important – New Certificates for Access to the CZMVS – Update

We would like to remind you of an important security requirement related to access to the Medicines Verification System (CZMVS).

In mid-May of this year (approx. May 18–20, 2026), a new version of the NSOL system (release R18) will be deployed.

Due to a change in the CA (Certification Authority) used by the SSL certificate provider, it will be necessary for all devices connecting to the CZMVS system to have two new security certificates installed no later than the implementation date of the new release.

Without installing these certificates, it will not be possible to log in to the system or perform operations with medicinal products!

Required certificates:

  •  Root CA certificate: Sectigo Public Server Authentication Root R46

Note: Updated CA certificates can usually be installed alongside existing CA certificates.

Notes:

1. If a pharmacy or distributor uses an FMD application on a local device that communicates directly with CZMVS, it is necessary to verify that the device has both required certificates registered.
2. If a pharmacy chain or distributor uses a device whose FMD application connects to a central system, which then communicates with CZMVS, it is sufficient to check the central system.
3. A regularly updated Windows OS environment should already contain these certificates. An environment based on Linux or Java may not contain them, and manual installation may be necessary.

All software companies providing FMD solutions on the Czech market have already received this information and should be able to respond to any user inquiries or requests.

CZMVO is now sending all CZMVS end users an e-mail with a link to a simple user verification to check whether the required certificates are correctly installed on individual devices.

We urge all CZMVS end users, upon receiving this information,to check all their end devices, which are used for verifying medicinal products in CZMVS!
